Equal Time Show ArchivePete Johnson from Craftsbury who is the owner of Pete's Green's talks about his unique winter Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project.

Pete Johnson runs Pete's Greens, a certified organic 4 season vegetable farm located in Craftsbury, Vt.

Pete's Greens has long emphasized season extension and the farm goal is to provide the greatest vegetable diversity for as much of the year as possible. This is achieved through a half acre greenhouse heated with waste vegetable oil, root cellars and other storage facilities, and this spring the farm is constructing a vegetable processing kitchen and walk in freezer in order to preserve summer's bounty for winter sales.

Pete's Greens sells to coop, stores, restaurants, at the Montpelier farmers market, and now through their year-round CSA called Good Eats.
